  A slimming group in Cardiff has raised £350 in support of a local family whose son passed away as a result of undiagnosed Type 1 diabetes.   Peter Baldwin was just 13 when he passed away in January 2015.  Since then Peter’s parents, Beth and Stuart, and sister Lia helped Diabetes UK Cymru launch Know Type 1, a campaign to raise awareness of the common early symptoms of the condition, so that children are diagnosed sooner and more safely….

Enzo needs a lifesaving operation British Bulldog pup Enzo was given away by his breeder in Cardiff at just three days old with serious health issues. One of Cardiff’s best-loved restaurants has launched a Kickstarter campaign to help to fund the opening of its first bricks-and-mortar site. A local retired portrait artist, 73 year-old Terry O’Callaghan, has painted a portrait of Her Majesty the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh and generously donated it to be auctioned off by the Royal British Legion. A mum from Cardiff will be taking on the Cardiff Half Marathon to raise funds for Diabetes UK Cymru after her daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.
