It’s the most wonderful of time of the year and we’ve got some great Christmas gift ideas for the whole family at St David’s Hall!

What better way is there to get in the festive spirit than with our Russian ballet series? La Fille Mal Gardée, The Nutcracker and Swan Lake (Tues 20 Dec – Mon 2 Jan) provide the perfect pre-Christmas family outing or a lovely present to treat your loved ones.

If Dad is a boxing fan he’ll love tickets to An Audience with Joe Calzaghe (Sat 11 Mar). Alternatively, if he prefers his music there are solo artists Paul Carrack (Sat 18 Feb) and Shakin’ Stevens (Mon 24 Apr); great guitar riffs in The Classic Rock Show (Thurs 16 Feb) and an amazing acoustic gig from Simple Minds (Tues 30 May). But if he’s up for a laugh, he’ll enjoy superb stand-up comedy from Miles Jupp (Tues 24 Jan), Stephen K. Amos (Thurs 26 Jan), Richard Herring (Sun 2 Apr) and Omid Djalili (Thurs 11 May).

But if she would prefer to have a boogie there are terrific tributes in Soul Legends (Fri 13 Jan) and Rumours of Fleetwood Mac (Weds 25 Jan).

For teenagers, there’s cracking comedy from Lee Nelson (Sun 12 Mar) and Chris Ramsey (Thurs 27 Apr); breathtaking white-knuckle thrills in the Banff Mountain Film Festival (Thurs 30 March) or the gruesomely ghoulish Vampires Rock (Fri 6 Jan) and Circus of Horrors (Weds 22 March).
