Remember Monday – The Globe, Cardiff (October 13th, 2025)
There’s a special kind of magic that comes with the first night of a tour — a cocktail of nerves, excitement, and the promise of something unforgettable. For Remember Monday, kicking off their ‘What The Hell just Happened’ tour at The Globe in Cardiff last Monday (a date only added due to popular demand), that magic was undeniable.
Before the headline act, Czech pop artist Thera set the tone beautifully with a set full of moody textures and sleek electro-pop polish. Her dark, atmospheric soundscapes were an unexpected treat, pulling the crowd in and warming them up perfectly for the main event.
From the opening notes of “Famous”, Remember Monday had the room in the palm of their hands. Fresh off their Eurovision success, the trio made up of best friends, Lauren Byrne, Holly-Anne Hull, and Charlotte Steele — are a vocal powerhouse, their harmonies so tight they seem telepathic. Cardiff’s crowd, buzzing with first-night anticipation, sang along to “Who You Are” and “Down With Me”, and roared approval at the Alanis Morissette cover “Hand in My Pocket”.
Their playful side shone through on the “Please Please Please / Pink Pony Club” mashup and a flurry of pop snippets — from Jessie J to Queen — that had the crowd whooping in delight. But the most unforgettable moment came during “More Than Ever”, when a couple were invited up on stage and the gentleman dropped to one knee mid-song. The band froze, the audience erupted, and the room filled with cheers and tears as the proposal got a very enthusiastic “yes.”
It was one of those rare live music moments that feels unscripted and utterly human — and Remember Monday handled it with warmth and joy before launching straight back into harmony heaven.
They debuted two unreleased tracks, “The Page” which had the audience reaching for the tissues and “Right Heart Wrong Time” which had the crowd hooked on its catchy chorus before going straight into fan favourites “What the Girls Bathroom Is For” and “Laugh About It” which closed the main set in euphoric style. The encore, “What the Hell Just Happened”, felt like the perfect title for the night — a whirlwind of talent, laughter, and pure heart. You could really tell these three were so grateful for everything that’s happened this year and if this first night is any indication, Remember Monday’s tour is going to be something very special indeed.
