The band will be supporting grassroots venues and anti-poverty charity Trussell at “the biggest headline shows of our career”
Founded by Glenn Tilbrook and Chris Difford back in 1973, Squeeze are one of pop’s best-loved bands with a catalogue of classics such as ‘Up The Junction’, ‘Tempted’, ‘Cool For Cats’, ‘Another Nail In My Heart’ and ‘Labelled With Love’.
Having announced the release of ‘Trixies’, their first new album since 2017’s The Knowledge in March next year, the band has also announced a huge UK tour that will include an unmissable show at Cardiff Utilita Arena on November 27, 2026.
As well as a show that will be packed with hits, Chris and Glenn are using the tour to shine a light on two causes close to their hearts. Alongside celebrating more than five decades of music, the group have committed the tour to supporting the anti-poverty charity Trussell and grassroots music venues, helping communities across the UK at a time when many need it most.
Trussell works to end the need for food banks in the United Kingdom. Glenn Tilbrook has been a vocal champion of the charity for many years, regularly using his solo and Squeeze tours to raise funds, awareness and food donations for the network. In 2022 the band even released the EP Food For Thought, directing its proceeds to Trussell. Their 2026 arena tour will continue and expand this effort. Fans are invited to bring along food donations to the shows, where there will be dedicated collection points across the venue each night for both food and cash contributions. All donations will be distributed through the food bank centres that make up the Trussell network. These small individual gestures from concertgoers can make a genuine difference to people who are struggling.
Squeeze will also be supporting grassroots music venues on the tour. £1 from every ticket sold for the Cardiff show will be donated to Music Venue Trust, the charity which acts to protect, secure, and improve the UK’s Grassroots Music Venues who form the foundation of the UK’s live music scene. Music Venue Trust have also announced that Glenn Tilbrook has become a patron, further underscoring the band’s long-standing commitment to grassroots culture. “The grassroots is where it all starts for so many musicians and where local communities can access affordable and exciting live music. We need to protect these venues and nurture the artists so that our great culture can thrive for generations to come,” he said.
The Tried, Tested and Trixies Tour arrives at Cardiff Utilita Arena on 27 November 2026. Fans can look forward to a set packed with classics and new material, while also being part of an effort that reaches far beyond the music.
