A thriller night on a student budget

29/10/2013

As a student myself I KNOW how expensive Halloween can be, so I’ve got a few screaming ideas for a DIY Halloween (flat parties are way cheaper).

Of course make your student flat as dark as it can be….(jumping out at guests on arrival never gets old).

Essential prop; TOILET PAPER….it never fails, you can use it to dress up as a mummy, use it as decorations… or thanks to Google- pumpkin bowling. This is definitely an game I will be using this year. A BRILLIANT idea for a PERFECT drinking game- depending how many toilet roles you knock down, the more cups you have to drink… Good right.

Never ever, EVER, leave out the Pound store. It is perfect for gooey gummy worms, fake bugs and candy vampire fangs. Buy some black card- can usually about 20 pieces for £1 and cut out some shapes of bats and rats- bit of blue tack and some string (ceiling decorations).

And of course the most vital ingredient of a party;

PUNCH- it would be rude not to, so here’s a ‘Bobbing Apples’ recipe;

  • 2 1/2 cups vodka

  • 1 1/4 cup apple schnapps

  • 6 cups lemon-lime soda

  • 4 red apples (sliced)

In a large punch bowl, combine the vodka, schnapps and soda. Float some apples in the punch and have a bowl of fresh sliced apples on the side for garnish.

Enjoy!
