Air of the Winter, Skin of the Summer


Dropping temperatures and cold winds equals dry, itchy and cracked skin right? – Give your body some TLC to stay looking gorgeous this winter, even when the weather isn’t.

Most doctors and skin care specialists would immediately ask you to invest in high priced lotions- but I’m not! It’s amazing what you can make from opening your kitchen cupboards.

So here’s a winter wonder body scrub to make your skin glow, at the fraction of the price – tried and tested.

Almonds!! They’re packed full of scrummy nutrients that your body begs for. Vitamin E, magnesium, and healthy monounsaturated fats, resulting in silky, nourished skin.

Mix together;

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup almond oil
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract


Now jump in the shower. Tempted to make it a really long, hot steamy one? DON’T! (It’s just asking your skin to dry out even faster) grab the scrub applying it into your skin in circular motions (towards your heart), concentrating on rough or dry areas of your skin. Rinse with warm water, allowing the residual layer of almond oil to remain on the skin and finally pat towel dry.
