SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity has put out an urgent call for volunteers in Cardiff and Glamorgan to help support the local Armed Forces community.

SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity supported over 85,000 individuals last year thanks to their network of more than 5,000 volunteers across the UK.

Both the Cardiff & Vale of Glamorgan and the Mid-Glamorgan Branch are looking for more volunteer caseworkers to provide practical and emotional support for serving personnel, veterans and military families across the area.

Last year, the charity supported 82,500 individuals and many have had their lives changed or significantly improved by the work of SSAFA volunteers.

A spokesperson for the SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity said: “The work we do in the Cardiff and Glamorgan regions is limitless in its variety and is both challenging and rewarding. We urgently need more volunteers in the Cardiff and Glamorgan area to help us support the local Armed Forces community.”

In addition to volunteer caseworkers, the branch is also recruiting more admin-based roles to help support the branch, including Divisional Secretaries and IT support.
