HAVE you ever been to concert and wished only your favourites were played, and nothing you weren’t familiar with?

Well, wish no more as the third concert in Cardiff Philharmonic Orchestra’s 2015/16 season is the Vote Overture where the audience decides what is performed! Votes are pouring in, and due to an overwhelming response the deadline has now been extended to Friday 5 February!

Coming to the National Concert Hall of Wales on Friday 18 March at 7.30pm, this exciting and interactive show allows you the chance to hear your Top Ten overtures in one concert.

Simply select nine of your favourites from the attached list or by visiting http://www.stdavidshallcardiff.co.uk/whats-on/cardiff-philharmonic-orchestra/cpo-vote-overture/ Then add your ‘Wild Card’, which is your tenth choice of overture that isn’t included on the list!

Email your votes to [email protected] with the subject line ‘CARDIFF PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA – VOTE OVERTURE’ or post them to St David’s Hall, The Hayes, Cardiff, CF10 1AH. Alternatively, pick up a voting slip and overtures list from the St David’s Hall Box Office, or drop off your votes into the ballot box located on the Box Office counter.

Tchaikovsky is currently the runaway favourite to win the overall vote with the 1812 Overture and Romeo & Juliet proving very popular! Yet, there could still be a late surge from Mendelssohn’s Hebrides and Rossini’s William Tell! You have the power to get your favourite overture heard!

Would you like to hear Beethoven and Brahms, or would you prefer Sibelius and Strauss? The choice is YOURS!
