CHRISMAS AT THE GATE: PUSS IN BOOTS

12/11/2014

The Gate Arts Centre and Black RAT Productions will be presenting their production of Puss in Boots from 19th November to the 5th December 2014.

Puss in Boots will be Black RAT Productions’ fifth ‘Christmas at The Gate’ show, following the resoundingly successful The Wind in the Willows, Pinocchio, The Adventures of Alice and Aladdin. This year’s production has once again been designed for family and school audiences written & directed by Richard Tunley, who is no stranger to the world of children’s theatre and pantomime.

Black RAT Productions brings together emerging and established talent to produce ‘classic’ theatre in an accessible format to audiences.

The company also has a strong education policy and offers exciting workshop activities where young people can explore, not only the themes of a play, but approaches to characterisation and performance.

Puss is no ordinary cat! He can talk and has great taste in footwear! Determined to help his lowly master better himself, Puss must face many challenges and overcome many obstacles.

He proves himself clever and courageous but what will he do when he comes face to face with Blunderbore the Giant?

Led by four dynamic professional actors, this original production brings this classic French feline tale of adventure to life. Packed with energy, fun and popular music, Puss in Boots is full of surprises and has been created especially for the wonderfully unique ‘in-the-round’ theatre space at The Gate, which only aids the audience in feeling part of Puss’s world. This production guarantees to provide a fantastic theatrical experience and is purrr-fect for an end of term treat or a fantastic seasonal family visit to the theatre.

A magical start to Christmas!
