Ella Henderson concert review by Carenza Skilton

Sunday 23rd October, the Tramshed welcomed Ella Henderson as a stop on her first UK tour in years, and she did not disappoint!

Heaps of people crowded to watch the pop singer perform all her classics, such as Ghosts which first sprung her to fame and got everyone screaming along, and a few new songs from her recent album Everything I Didn’t Say.

Ella bounced around the stage dancing to her songs and made cheery jokes with the audience.

She really connected with the audience which is what any songwriter loves to do; she appreciated everyone for coming including her backup band and singers, her boyfriend for her inspiration on some songs like Northern Lights and her incredible support musician Cian Ducrot.

Ducrot’s smooth voice singing with Henderson’s powerful pipes set up a number of duets which got the crowd jumping up and down in the same elation as the two singers, whom you could tell loved and respected each other so much.

When she eventually got offstage, there was such a roar that she came back on for an encore and ended all our nights on a euphoric high. Ella, we already want you back in Cardiff!
