Emirates Engineering

Emirates Engineering, the facility constructed in 2006 with a 400,000 sq. metre span, is among the world’s most impressive and technologically advanced aircraft maintenance facilities. General Civil Aviation Authority CAR V approved, it supports the world’s largest fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft, operated by Emirates, and 30 other airlines through third-party maintenance contracts. Emirates Engineering follows stringent quality standards, and experts at the facility are fully qualified to manage and implement aspects of maintenance, engineering, quality, planning, and logistics.

Looking towards the future with Emirates

The Emirates engineering facility in Dubai World Central is expected to be completed in 2027. Spread over 1 million square metres, it is purpose-built to support Emirates’ aircraft fleet and operating requirements into the 2040s. It will also be a centre of excellence for commercial aviation engineering services in the Middle East, with spare capacity potentially offered to other airline operators.

Once completed, Emirates engineers will be at the very heart of this groundbreaking facility, from leading routine aircraft checks, bespoke paint jobs, light to heavy maintenance programmes, and engine repair and testing, to carrying out full cabin interior fit-outs and aircraft conversions.
