THE acclaimed English Chamber Ensemble will be joined by some very special guests for a Bach to Beatles concert at St David’s Hall on Thursday 8 December.

Virtuoso classical guitarist Craig Ogden will showcase his skills with a spellbinding set of classics from The Fab Four with a little help from his friend Miloš Karadaglić, who will compere the evening.

Not since the John Williams in the 60s has a guitarist captured the imagination like Miloš especially since the release of his tribute album to The Beatles entitled Blackbird. Unfortunately though, due to medical advice he is unable to perform on the guitar due to a recurring hand injury.

However, Australian musician Craig Ogden will ably take up those duties whilst Miloš will present the programme and take any questions from the audience. Craig has studied the guitar since the age of seven and combines an extraordinary technical command with a sense of intimacy, which he will demonstrate on classics like Yesterday, Here Comes the Sun and Eleanor Rigby. Before that there will be masterpieces from Bach, Mozart, Tárrega and Boccherini to name just a few.

Based in London and led by Stephanie Gonley, the English Chamber Ensemble belongs to the English Chamber Orchestra, which is the most recorded chamber orchestra in the world. Furthermore, no other orchestra has played in as many different countries as they have.

Don’t miss the English Chamber Ensemble performing Bach to Beatles for one night only as part of the International Concert Series at the National Concert Hall of Wales!
