Firstsource Solutions, the UK’s customer experience expert, has once again shown its commitment to investment in Cardiff by announcing today that it will create more than 300 new jobs as it opens its 2nd contact centre in the city. The new, state of the art, centre at Oakleigh House comes 4 years after the opening of Firstsource’s flagship facility in the city which currently employs over 1,000 people. Open for business since the end of February the new centre will make Firstsource one of the largest contact centre employers in Cardiff.

Firstsource works with UK and international companies across the financial, retail, telecommunications and media sectors to provide them with dedicated customer contact teams and end to end customer experience solutions. Opening a 2nd centre in Cardiff will allow the company to expand its operations for partners in the UK and beyond. Joining the team at the new facility, Firstsource employees will undergo tailored training and have access to company-wide development and progression opportunities.

At the official opening of Oakleigh House, Carwyn Jones, First Minister for Wales said: ‘I am delighted that Firstsource has chosen to continue to expand its operations in Cardiff, creating opportunities for new jobs and further cementing its role as an important employer in the local area. The fact that it has done so is testimony to the talented workforce that we have on offer in our city, and I wish Firstsource and the new team at Oakleigh House the very best of luck.’

Gavin Snell, President, Customer Management at Firstsource, commented: ‘Opening our second facility in Cardiff is an exciting time for Firstsource. We are now a well established global customer contact partner, dedicated to working collaboratively with businesses to look after their brands with each and every customer engagement. Our new centre we will be able to build on our services as well as offering exciting new employment opportunities in the local area.  Over the last four years, we have been incredibly impressed by the talent and commitment of the team in Cardiff, and and look forward to continuing to grow our operations here over the coming months and years.’
