Get ready for Children’s Hospice Week 2015!

04/04/2015

Join national charity Together for Short Lives and children’s hospice services across the country for this year’s Children’s Hospice Week (11-17 May 2015). It’s the UK’s only awareness raising and fundraising week for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions and the services, like children’s hospices, that support them.

This year Children’s Hospice Week will be focussing on Making every moment count to highlight how precious time is for families caring for a child who may not live to reach adulthood and how children’s hospices help families make the most of their time together.

Whether at work, school or with friends you can help make every moment count by fundraising during Children’s Hospice Week:

  •  Momentous moments quiz – hold a quiz event and test your knowledge on key moments in time
  • Memorable moments dress up – pay £1 to be an iconic person for the day, this could be a historical figure, music idol or sporting star, or even a character from TV or film
  • Why not seize the moment and sign up for a once in a lifetime challenge event?
  •  Make the moment count – make a donation during Children’s Hospice Week

Children with a life-limiting condition need round the clock care – 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The UK’s 53 children’s hospice services provide a vital lifeline for families. Children’s hospices are all charities that rely on public support. To find your local service visit: www.togetherforshortlives.org.uk/families/services
