Great shows coming up at St David’s Hall this April!

Collabro

AFTER a huge sold out tour last year, the world’s most successful musical theatre group Collabro are back with the Road to the Royal Albert Hall!

The charismatic quartet come to Cardiff for one night only at St David’s Hall on Friday 5 April – and this time they are bringing the wonderful West End star Kerry Ellis with them!

Support for the evening is Essex jazz act Georgia & The Vintage Youth.

PLEASE NOTE: Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult.

Tickets are £21.50, £34.50 & £44.50 (plus an optional £1 postage fee).

 

Steeleye Span

FOLK legends Steeleye Span celebrate their 50th anniversary in style at St David’s Hall this Sunday (7 April)!

Led as ever by the iconic Maddy Prior, Steeleye Span remain as vital and inspirational as ever. This latest seven-piece line-up captures the icons’ incredible history and provides a night of favourites and surprises from down the decades.

Tickets are £24 & £27 (plus an optional £1 postage fee).

 

Angharad Lyddon

LOOKING forward to the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World at St David’s Hall this summer?

The prestigious competition takes place from Saturday 15 – Saturday 22 June, and you can get a taste of what’s to come this Tuesday (9 April) with the magnificent mezzo-soprano Angharad Lyddon, who will be representing Wales.

Starting at 1pm, this special Lunchtime Concert sees Angharad perform a powerful programme including Schubert, Elgar, Brahms, Mozart, Strauss and Bizet.

Ty Cerdd @ nightmusic

nightmusic is the exciting, new series that combines contemporary classical music and cocktails at St David’s Hall, and it continues with the Berkeley Ensemble on Tuesday 9 April.

This special performance sub-titled Tŷ Cerdd @ nightmusic sees Welsh music take centre-stage. Each concert in the nightmusic season usually includes a compelling new work commissioned by Tŷ Cerdd, but this evening features a whole evening curated by them.

Join us for World Premieres by Lynne Plowman, Sarah Lianne Lewis & Carlijn Metselaar alongside an eclectic mix of 20th century and contemporary classics from Stravinsky and Berio to John Woolrich and Huw Watkins.

The Greatest Showman Sing-a-long

THE GREATEST SHOWMAN was the smash hit film of 2018, and now you can sing along to its stunning soundtrack at St David’s Hall!

Having already sold out two shows in February, Sing-a-Long-a The Greatest Showman is back by overwhelming public demand on Saturday 13 April at 2pm and 7pm. There’s very limited availability now for the afternoon performance, but there’s enough seats in the evening to bring along the whole family!

From the makers of Sing-a-Long-a Sound of Music and Sing-a-Long-a Grease, this extravaganza features a live host to teach you the unique set of dance moves and how to use your interactive prop bags; plus how to practice your cheers, boos and even a few wolf whistles!

Fancy dress is strongly encouraged and full audience participation essential. YOU the audience will rewrite the stars!
