Savvy travellers in their 60s and beyond will no doubt already know they could get 1/3 off train journeys across Great Britain – but now, they can make even bigger savings with a special Senior Railcard discount.

GWR has launched a brand new deal that gives Senior Railcard holders a huge 50% discount on routes across the GWR network, including Cardiff Central station and several other destinations as varied as London, the Cotswolds, Bristol and Windsor.

The latest promotion means people with a Senior Railcard could travel one way from Cardiff Central to London Paddington from as little as £11.20.

The Senior Railcard discount is available to anyone aged 60 or over with a valid Senior Railcard, when booking online at GWR.com/senior one of the selected GWR Standard Class Advance single fares.

Holders of valid HM Forces and up to one accompanying adult with a Disabled Persons Railcard can also take advantage of the promotion.

The GWR Senior Railcard discount is valid for purchases made between 6 March 2018 and 17 April 2018, to travel between 7 March 2018 and 23 May 2018.

With so many events scheduled in the GWR network over the next few months, it’s the perfect excuse to book a mini break or day out.

From music to sport, there are loads of great events coming up over the next few weeks – and now with our special Senior Railcard discount people who are aged 60 and over can enjoy their trips and visits for cheaper. Of course, with so much to see and do across the GWR network – you don’t need to wait for a special occasion to take advantage of cheap train fares to get out and about.”
