WELSH violinist Lowri Porter will join forces with pianist Lada Valešová for a special Lunchtime Concert at St David’s Hall on Tuesday 31 May.

Starting at 1pm, the dynamic duo will deliver a compelling programme of Beethoven, Messiaen and Janáček.

Born in Cardiff in 1977, Lowri Porter is Assistant Leader of Welsh National Opera and also teaches at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

Lada Valešová’s latest recording of Slavic piano music Dumka has been selected by New York Times for their Classical Playlist, whilst her album Intimate Studies gained international critical praise. Lada is a professor at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Before the concert a mouth-watering selection of sandwiches, hot drinks and hand-made cakes will be available from our arts café Celf on Level 4. Delicious speciality Welsh cheese and antipasti platters can be booked in advance.
