Moonlight Ribbons Productions, the Cardiff-based production company, have announced that production is set to begin on their new comedy web-series, LONG SHOTS

03/03/2017

LONG SHOTS will be produced by Matthew Doman (Doctor Who, Kerb Crawlers) and Rosie Vaughan (Urgent Assistance Required, Larrikin Productions) and the opening episodes are to be directed by James Plumb of Mad Science Films (Night of the Living Dead: Resurrection, Kerb Crawlers) from a script by writer Lucas Eisele. Cinematography will be handled by Tom Barker.

Principal photography begins on 11 March 2017.

Set in the ever evolving, ever stressful Welsh Film Industry, this is the story of four uniquely unstable friends who are trying to make their mark. The only thing standing in their way? Everything!

Executive Producer Matthew Doman had the following to say,

“We are delighted to be filming this high energy off the wall comedy series about the people who make films in South Wales. Encompassing all the various stages of production. This show will tell the story of the people in film production in a way that nothing else can, ejecting the conventional and showcasing the ludicrous!”

Based in Cardiff Moonlight Ribbons Productions was formed by Matthew Doman for the sole purpose of producing comedy.

A crowd funding campaign has been set up by the producers, and can be found at www.indiegogo.com/projects/long-shots-wales-series#/

Matthew Doman says “the crowd funding will enable us to finish off the rest of the series and to advertise the project more effectively so that we can share the Long Shots humour with more people. We want to bring Welsh humour into the homes and palms of everyone around the world and give people globally an insight into the comedic side of Welsh film making society and what is going on in the South Wales film Industry.”
