Tuesday 17 May

7.30pm

THE breathtaking Moscow State Symphony Orchestra will perform a powerful programme of the greatest Russian composers at St David’s Hall on Tuesday 17 May at 7.30pm.

In association with the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, acclaimed conductor Pavel Kogan will lead the orchestra through Prokofiev’s Russian Overture and Piano Concerto No 3, plus Shostakovich’s sensational Symphony No 5.

The supremely talented pianist Noriko Ogawa will be the soloist in Prokofiev’s high energy, sardonic and bittersweet Third Piano Concerto before the curtain comes down with Shostakovich’s darkly tragic masterpiece.
