It was tea and cake all round as tea parties took place on wards and departments across Cardiff and Vale University Health Board as staff and patients came together to celebrate the NHS Big Tea. A new bereavement suite and memory-making room for the parents of stillborn babies has opened at the University Hospital Wales in Cardiff.   The Snow Drop Suite, situated in the hospital’s maternity unit, was kindly funded by Cardiff and Newport SANDS, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity.  The room was designed to give parents a peaceful, private space in which to spend precious time with their baby before saying a final goodbye.   The suite has been equipped with a…

  Rose McDonald recently responded to a call out for artists from the Arts for Health and Well-being Team, and the team felt that she sounded like the perfect person to paint a mural in the new Paediatric Phlebotomy area in Barry Hospital.   Rose is a recent Fine Art Graduate from Cardiff Metropolitan University, and now plans to undertake a Masters in Art Psychotherapy at the University of South Wales.
