 Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is replacing 750 beds and mattresses across its sites in order to address its ageing fleet of products, as well as improve care for the ageing population of patients. EIGHTY per cent of people aged over 60 in Britain – and 89% in Wales – say they are not getting their recommended five portions of fruit and veg every day. School children across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan have been holding sessions for older people in the local community to raise awareness of and reduce the risk of falling.
