The Secret Life of J.S. Bach

St David’s Hall

Sunday 13 March

5pm

THE CLERKS will delve into The Secret Life of J.S. Bach with a compelling concert on Sunday 13 March celebrating the iconic composer’s finest work.

This special show in the prestigious International Concert Series sees the acclaimed duo of director Edward Wickham and organist William Whitehead offer a fascinating insight into the sublime Baroque music.

Whilst Bach is fondly remembered for his transcendent body of work, his day-to-day life was often one of conflict with his employers even leading to imprisonment on one occasion.

As part of this absorbing evening, local choirs are being invited to take part in this story of politics, musical genius and rebellion. Plus to help tell the tale, all audience members are welcome to join an all-Bach Come and Sing pre-concert workshop at 4pm in the main auditorium.

All participants in the session will then be invited to join in with The Clerks as part of the final performance of these pieces in the afternoon’s concert.

To participate in the Come and Sing event, please pre-register for this event by emailing [email protected] or call Rhian Workman on 029 2087 8573 with your full name. You will also need to have purchased a ticket for the evening’s performance. There is no further charge for participating in the workshop.
