The Spooky Men’s Chorale are singing their way to St David’s Hall!

03/07/2017

WAVE goodbye to choirs as you know them…the zaniest male choral group are coming to town.

Sounding as sacred as a high church choir one minute and wickedly off the wall the next, The Spooky Men’s Chorale are bringing their madcap live tour to St David’s Hall on Wednesday 12 July.

The New South Walians will perform their own rib-tickling original compositions as well as madcap versions of rock standards. Since emerging from the Blue Mountains in 2001, The Spooky Men’s Chorale have developed a cult following thanks to their unique brand of Georgian chants, a capella ballads, spiky political jabs and cracking cover versions. All of this is effortlessly reeled off with wicked wit and devilish deadpan delivery.

Compellingly comic they may be but make no mistake, this is a class act full of pitch-perfect harmonies, ingenious lyrics, flawless theatrical delivery and impeccable timing.

“Inspired and a triumph of choreography! Catch them on the road – a fantastic night out is guaranteed!” Mark Radcliffe, BBC Radio 2

“High camp, epic folly – probably the best programming choice of the entire summer festival circuit” The Irish Times

“Highly theatrical, they veer from weird to touching and back again. Grown-up entertainment in the best, most infantile way. Don’t miss an opportunity to see them” Daily Telegraph

Tickets are £20 (plus an additional £3.95 Ticket Service Charge per transaction and an optional £1 postage fee).

Friends of St David’s Hall, under 16s, students, over 60s, claimants and disabled people (plus one companion) are £2 off.
