TRICK OR TREAT AT TECHNIQUEST

06/10/2023

Three new night-time events will be enjoyed at the centre in the coming months — but only if you’re over 18.

The first takes place on Thursday 12 October from 7pm when guests will be able to get hands-on with all of the mind-boggling machines and puzzles the centre is famous for, as well as trying out the newer exhibits that have proved so popular since the opening of the Science Capital extension.

Special guests from the Royal Society of Chemistry and Cardiff University will be taking part and sharing the science of slime, sherbet and chocolate, offering visitors a feast of tricks and treats. Live science shows in the science theatre promise to give guests goosebumps and reveal creative ways to conjure up a spooky atmosphere, while cocktail potions on arrival add some additional treats to the Halloween-themed evening.

Gareth McTiffin, Head of Commercial Development at Techniquest commented: “We’re delighted that Admiral have decided to extend their support for the After-Hours series again this year and can’t wait to welcome guests to our Trick or Treat event. Over-18s’ nights like these have always been a really popular option for adults to enjoy everything Techniquest has to offer, but with more of a party feel. We know how much Admiral value their involvement with local organisations such as ourselves and we look forward to welcoming many of their staff, along with our regular visitors to enjoy some spooky science with us.”

Lorna Connelly, Head of UK People, said, “We’re thrilled to continue our sponsorship of Techniquest After Hours and encourage more people in our community to explore the scientific fun that Techniquest has to offer.”

Tickets are £15, which includes a drink on arrival, with additional refreshments available to purchase on the night.  For the latest details or to book visit techniquest.org.
