Including some A’list stars from London and across the UK! ” Sian Gunney (CEO Sian Gunney Consulting SGC) & Nicky Pier MBE (Head of Fundraising & Events George Thomas Hospice Care)

“The great thing about the event is you don’t have to have a date. You can just buy a ticket online and we will seat you on a fun table. The concept surrounds my view on love. That it’s not just about two people it’s about families, parents that would do anything for their children’s happiness, colleagues and clients that care and connections that matter. It’s about people and showing you care. So if you know someone that’s alone this Valentine’s night why not get him or her a ticket and show you care.  This event is for everyone. A lot of groups of friends have organised reunions and have booked tables. It’s a chance to be part of something fun and exciting.” Sian Gunney (CEO Sian Gunney Consulting SGC)

Why am I organising this? :

“I want to create a real Valentines extravaganza an event like no other. As I said before expect surprises!

Why have I organised this event? Well my father  Paul Malcom Gunney (PMG) passed away on the 28th October 2011 to prostate cancer at the age of 59.

At this time both my parents were seriously ill and it was the most difficult time of our lives.

The one organisation that really shone above any other was George Thomas Hospice Care. Myself and the family will always be grateful to Dr Magrid Capel who went above and beyond to shine a light for Dad in the most difficult and darkest days.

I wanted to show my thanks so I decided to sign up to trek the Grand Canyon to Vegas in May 2016 to raise as many funds as possible for George Thomas Hospice Care.  So I decided what better way to start fundraising than to throw an almighty party. If there’s anything I’m really good at it’s this. Especially from my days as CEO of Peacock Media Group (PMG).

So this is in honour of my Daddy and to say thanks to George Thomas Hospice Care.

The reason for it being held on Valentines Day is that love is not just about two people. Love is about friendship, family, colleagues, connections, and groups of people that no matter what will always care and try and help. So this evening on the 14th February 2016 is all about sharing the love.

I work in digital marketing and social media and press often comment on the negativity on social media. However we rarely hear about how many stories, movements, changes and help is offered and given on social media. There are 9 times as many positive examples to every.. one negative. I hope the build up for this event shows people how much love is out there in Wales.

There are 400 seats available and I would love you all to come! You can help by starting to use our event hash tag #LetThereBeLove. “
