This Sunday, August 24, the battle for brute supremacy returns as Wales’ Strongest Man 2025 takes over Cardiff International Stadium Leckwith. Some of the nation’s most powerful athletes will go head-to-head in a day of raw strength, fierce competition, and thrilling entertainment.
The event, which kicks off at 13:00 PM, will see Twelve of Wales’ top strongmen compete across a series of intense strength challenges, including the brand new Basque Stone to shoulder ladder, the Car Deadlift, Log Press for max attempt, and the punishing Farmers walk. With the title — and national pride — on the line, the stage is set for an unforgettable showdown.
Among the competitors are returning x 5 champion Mark “The Dragon” Jeans from Bridgend, who’s aiming to take back his crown making history as x 6 Wales Strongest Man, and rising star William Jones from Rhondda, known for his recent appearance as a late call up to the live UKs Strongest Man. Both will be joined by a fierce lineup of seasoned lifters and new talent looking to make their mark.
The stadium expects a lively crowd, with over 2000 spectators anticipated. Food vendors, family activities, and epic pyrotechnics will run alongside the main event, making it a full-day experience for fans of all ages.
The winner of Wales’ Strongest Man 2025 will secure a place at UK’s Strongest Man 2026, bringing national recognition and a chance to compete LIVE on channel 5.
Tickets are still available via the official website and will also be sold at the gate. Gates open at 11:30 AM, with the opening ceremony beginning shortly before 13:00pm.
