Wedding Festival at St Davids Center, May Bank Holiday

12/05/2016

On May 28th and 29th a unique Wedding event will be taking place in St David’s 2 shopping centre in aid of Breast Cancer Cymru: ‘The E&W Wedding Festival’.

E&W Couture are presenting a 5 week long window campaign in a prime location in Cardiff City Centre which will culminate in an independent weekend wedding event, something which has never been done before.

A Boutique style Wedding Fayre, the E&W Wedding Festival will feature local, independent businesses: celebrating what makes South Wales unique by giving them a platform to showcase their individual creativity. This exclusive event will give Bride and Groom’s to be, the chance to interact with suppliers, offering services on the day and experience first hand what businesses on their doorstep can offer and the impact they can have on their Wedding day. The Festival will be a live showcase, not just catering for those planning to walk up the aisle, the weekend will feature live music performances, food and drinks and activities.

By attending not only will the public be supporting local business but also helping to champion the vital work of Breast Cancer Care Cymru. The support that BCCC offers is invaluable. They provide space to talk freely and openly about the reality of living with this life-threatening disease, a place where people can turn when treatment ends and a lifeline to those who so desperately need it. AnnMarie from Merthyr who was diagnosed at just 21 spoke of her immense gratitude to the charity “Finding Breast Cancer Care Cymru helped me through the most difficult time of my life. I have met some amazing people and I now organise events to raise money so that I can help make sure that Breast Cancer Cymru is there for people like me.”

Rachael Power from BCCC has said of events such as this “support from events like this is invaluable to us. Not only will your support help raise awareness about the work we do but this year we will receive less than 7% of our funding from Government meaning we are reliant on voluntary funders to run our services and support people like AnnMarie affected by breast cancer.”

E&W Wedding Festival is proud to be one of these events supporting such important and impactful work. The main fundraiser of the festival weekend will be a raffle, with a variety of prizes suppliers from across South Wales are auctioning off including services or materials. Prizes of the raffle include a bespoke dress, photo shoots and makeovers to name but a few. The proceeds from the raffle will be donated to BCCC so they can continue to be there for anyone facing breast cancer from day one. Raffle tickets can be bought on line and are not limited to on the day so the raffle is open UK wide.

Come along and not only support the creativity and individuality that local business brings to Cardiff but also to be a part of raising awareness for such an important cause.
