BBC Countryfile Magazine are inviting readers to send in their suggestions of the very best of the British countryside for the BBC Countryfile Magazine Awards 2019. Nominations open from today, giving the people of Wales the chance to celebrate the counties’ mighty landmarks, outstanding national parks, beautiful nature reserves and finest rural pubs. BBC Children in Need has announced that it has awarded a total of £215,628 to two local projects providing services to disadvantaged children and young people. The charity currently funds 22 projects across Cardiff, with over £1.3m invested locally.
