Young people with complex needs associated with autism are progressing well at a specialist school and residential service in Cardiff thanks to ‘positive and calming classroom routines that maximise learning’, according to a new report. In October 2019, Coleg Gwent’s Learn Welsh Gwent department was routinely inspected by Estyn, the inspectors of quality and standards in education and training in Wales, and are now celebrating the findings of the report published last week by the independent body.   The main findings were that “Wellbeing and attitudes to learning” and “Care, support and guidance” are ‘Excellent’.
