  We recently had the pleasure of visiting Carluccio’s in Cardiff Bay. We were instantly greeted with a warm welcome by Clare, who was the manager on shift that day.  She kindly showed us to our table and left us with menus to browse over. Carluccio’s is located close to the Bay and there’s plenty of glass windows surrounding the building, combining the feeling you are outdoors with the comfort of being inside.   The transformation of the Brains-owned central Cardiff pub Kitty Flynn’s to a dedicated craft beer outlet is nearing completion following an eight week refurbishment that will see the doors open to the public for the first time on 15th May from 8pm. The heritage of the site has been fully recognised with the business renamed the Cambrian Tap in honour of the Cambrian Hotel that occupied the historic corner of the Old Brewery in the 1800s. I recently had the pleasure of taking the family for a meal at Le Bistrot Pierre. We attended at 5.30pm and a few couples arrived at the same time.  We were taken to our seats and given menus for us as well as menus for the children.  I am always impressed when restaurants cater specially for children too.  They also brought over some colouring pencils to keep them occupied before food.
