At 1.00pm on Tuesday people from across Wales will “cycle on the Senedd” to lobby Welsh Government for an increase in investment in walking and cycling to £20 per head, as recommended in a recent report by the Assembly’s Economy, Infrastructure and Skills Committee.  Welsh Government is currently spending just £10 per head, half of the level in Scotland. Welsh competitors selected to represent the UK in the world’s largest international skills competition have been recognised for their achievements at a celebratory event in the Senedd. The 10th anniversary of Earth Hour takes place on Saturday 25 March between 8.30pm and 9.30pm, and over half a million people in Wales will take part in the annual event that sees millions worldwide switch off their lights to shine a light on climate change. The National Assembly for Wales will be hosting a summer fun weekend with carnival games, arts and crafts and Welsh choirs on 27-29 August.   Coinciding with the Cardiff Harbour Festival there will also be face-painting, a soft play area and a special Senedd treasure hunt with prizes to be won.   The Senedd will be open every day from 10.30-16.30.
