BBC Cymru Wales and Arts Council of Wales are today announcing that the search for Horizons artists to join its 2019 project is now underway. Celebrating its 5th year this year, Horizons has given a platform to over 48 emerging artists from Wales giving them opportunities to reach new audiences in Wales, the UK and beyond. A total of 28 talented artists and bands from across Wales have been successful in their bid for a music bursary worth a combined value of £35,000. Winners include artists such as iTunes chart-hitting reggae singer-songwriter Aleighcia Scott from Cardiff, who will use the bursary to produce a music video for her debut album. Wales Millennium Centre’s youth-led radio station and training programme, Radio Platfform, has opened a second studio in their newly redesigned space, allowing more young people from across Wales to create their own unique sound, use their voice and broadcast live with daily shows.
