Independent Age, the older people’s charity, is launching a brand new nationwide fundraising challenge – called 100in10 – which invites participants to cover a total of 100km in 10 weeks in any way they choose. All donations will go towards the charity’s work towards helping older people stay independent for as long as possible. International tennis came to the Cardiff suburbs when Rhiwbina Tennis Club hosted an ITF (International Tennis Federation) world seniors tour event. The Yonex YCsports Welsh Seniors Open involved more than 60 players from Wales, England, Scotland, Hong Kong and New Zealand, in age groups 35, 45, 55, and 65, singles, doubles and mixed. CANCER RESEARCH UK has tripled its investment in pancreatic cancer, one of the hardest cancers to treat, since launching its research strategy in 2014 – according to new figures published.
