The Child of Wales Awards, an event that celebrates the inspirational achievements of children across Wales, has thanked its sponsors for their continued support, which has allowed it to make a substantial donation to charity now, despite its annual event being delayed due to the coronavirus. Principality Building Society is to invest £60,000 to help provide more than 1,500 Cardiff secondary school children with financial education. The project will see £5,000 allocated to each participating school, with lessons to include household budgeting workshops, financial planning, insurance, pensions, as well as preparing students for adulthood and the world of work. A newly established youth rugby side in Ely, Cardiff, is preparing for a season of success after receiving a donation of brand new match kits from Principality Building Society.
