Heritage Angels – people who have played a special part in caring for Wales’s heritage – have been honoured at a special awards ceremony, sponsored by the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation, at Caerphilly Castle on 8 November 2018.   Welsh singing sensation, Katherine Jenkins, crowns Armistice Cantata the National Lottery’s Best Education Project.    Force’s Sweetheart’ and Welsh classical singer, Katherine Jenkins, presented the National Lottery Award 2018 to the Armistice Cantata project in Cardiff.  The project is an intergenerational collaboration between pensioners from Goldies Cymru and the children at Thornhill Primary School. Children at Thornhill Primary School in Cardiff celebrated on June 27th after hearing that their unique 30 minute World War 1 production of words and music called Armistice Cantata has been chosen amongst hundreds in the 2018 National Lottery Awards 2018 – Education category.
