On Sunday 7th July 2019, the Cancer Research Wales team will be running The Wales Marathon in an attempt to break a Guinness World Record – ‘the most runners linked to complete a marathon’. Around half of people (47%) living in Wales cannot correctly identify the large bowel on a diagram, according to a poll of 4,000 UK adults commissioned by Bowel Cancer UK. In 2018 Rhiwbina RFC and Cancer Research Wales undertook a joint annual raffle, which was drawn at Rhiwbina Recreation Club just before Christmas. It was the culmination of months of ticket selling by all sections of Rhiwbina RFC and by Cancer Research Wales, with all prizes kindly donated by local North Cardiff businesses.
