St David’s College gives back to the community this Christmas. 64 people have been given a place to go this Christmas, thanks to St David’s students Staff and students at Cardiff-based St David’s Catholic Sixth Form College, have come together to raise over £1,800 for the homeless community in Cardiff. nextbike, Cardiff’s bike share scheme, will support three local charities throughout December after they won a public vote to be part of its festive cash giveaway in the city. Six in ten (61%) of adults in South Wales who feel lonely fear something will happen to them and no one will notice, and a third of adults there (34%) have no one to turn to about loneliness. Cardiff’s popular bike share scheme is set to double next year with an additional 500 bikes, operator nextbike has confirmed. The expansion will see an extra 65 docking stations added to the existing city-wide network, with up to 10 additional jobs being created to service the extended fleet.   A doctor from Cardiff and Vale University Health Board’s Clinical Research Facility has been awarded a prestigious award from the Association of British Clinical Diabetologists (ABCD).
