  Four Scout leaders from the Cardiff and Vale area have been recognised for their service to Scouting with an invitation to a Buckingham Palace Garden Party. Cub Scouts in Wales are being encouraged to go eco as part of a newly revised badge to teach children the importance of getting involved in environmental conservation in their daily lives. Penarth and District Scouts are about to have a change of leader. The current District Commissioner, Julian Jordan, has taken on a new role as Area Commissioner of Cardiff and Vale. A local Llandaff North Scout Group are currently fighting to keep their hall from being sold – a feat that will not earn them a badge but a home for their treasured community.
