  Around 120 children from 6 special schools competed in The Lady Taverners inter-school sports day at the National Indoor Athletics Centre in Cyncoed. Heronbridge, Meadowbank, Ty Gwyn, Riverbank, Ysgol y Deri and The Hollies competed in sports from wheelchair races, long jump, table tennis, skittles and egg and spoon races. Introducing Cardiff’s very own ultimate frisbee team, South Wales Storm   Ultimate is one of the fastest growing sports in the world, and is a fast paced team sport played with a flying disc. Teams of seven play on a roughly rugby sized pitch, and score in an end-zone like in American football.   The Swansea Triathlon took place on Sunday 28th May, in Swansea with almost 1000 athletes starting the race. This is a sprint triathlon where athletes swam 750m in the SA1 dock, cycled 20k on closed roads around the city centre and ended their race with a 5k run crossing the finish line in Castle Square to great crowds of supporters. A 17-year-old from Fairwater has won a gold medal in the fitness trainer final of a national skills competition.
